Bocce Hole Origin Story
Our Mission
Creating legendary memories, one hole at a time.
Our Story

We’re Brian & Randall—two longtime friends and unapologetic game geeks. Within minutes of meeting 25 years ago, we were already diving into nonsense competitions (first up: “Which Outback Steakhouse customer looks most like a celebrity?”). Since then, our families have beached together up and down the Carolinas, from the Outer Banks to Hilton Head, where Brian lives today. Epic games of bocce, paddle ball, corn hole, darts, and the famous 2009 OBX Beach Olympics are long-lasting memories.
Bocce hole was the natural next chapter: a game born from our love of friendly rivalry, sandy afternoons, and turning every moment into a chance to play.
Bocce Hole Origin Story
It all began when Brian stumbled on a half-buried bocce ball in his backyard. We tossed it in a bag with a plastic ring, hit the beach, and Bocce-Hole 1.0 was born. Rules were debated, scores disputed, but one thing was clear—we were hooked.
From there, we went full mad-scientist. Months of testing on every kind of sand (wet, dry, firm, soft—turns out sand has more moods than a teenager), tweaking prototypes at altitudes from sea level to 7,000 feet, and rolling bocce balls of every size and weight until we found the sweet spot. The rings evolved too, designed to keep the game fun, fair, and challenging no matter your skill or the beach conditions.
(Early Prototype)

We knew we were onto something when beachgoers stopped mid-walk to ask where they could buy a set. We knew it was special when an 8-year-old went toe-to-toe with his dad and won. And we knew it was magic when a whole beach erupted in cheers when a perfect 3-point "BOCCE HOLE" dropped.
Now it’s ready for you! Bocce hole: simple to play, impossible not to love.
Many thanks to all our friends, family, and curious onlookers on the beach who jumped in to play and offer feedback.
Join the fun and make your own bocce hole legends!
